In EGASA landscaping and gardening, we have carried out the strategic plantation of a cipreses row (Cupressus sempervirens) in a villa located in the Marquise VI, Dénia. Our main objective was to establish a medium-high hedge that guarantees privacy against neighboring property.

Preparation of the land: a challenge buries clay

Before planting, it was crucial to prepare the land. This implied the extraction of several existing copies of Myoporum Laetum. Given the particular composition of the soil, highly clay, manual extraction was unfeasible. To overcome this difficulty, our team used a pneumatic hammer, an essential tool that allowed to decompact and effectively remove the land for the withdrawal of pre -existing plants and the proper preparation of the planting bed.

Plantation of cuppressus sempervirens: optimal growth for a robust hedge

The new cypresses (CupPressus sempervirens), approximately 50 cm high, were specifically selected for their suitability to form a dense and perennial hedge, characteristic of their columnar growth habit. To ensure its correct establishment and vigorous development, we carry out an exhaustive preparation of the land where they would be planted. Each specimen was given a mixture enriched with quality substrate, organic humus and essential minerals. This soil amendment was vital to improve the structure of the clay soil, facilitate drainage and provide the necessary nutrients for healthy long -term growth.

The plantation was carried out during spring. This period is ideal for the establishment of the CupPressus Sempervirens, since moderate temperatures and the greater availability of humidity favor rooting and minimize post-transplant stress. This allows the specimens to adapt to their new environment and begin to develop a robust root system before the arrival of the high summer temperatures in Dénia.

The result is a row of Cupressus Sempervirens with great potential to grow and form a dense and homogeneous hedge, providing the desired privacy and significantly improving the aesthetics of the garden.
